Some things we believe about giving in the body of Christ
Each one must give as he has decided in his heart, not reluctantly or under compulsion, for God loves a cheerful giver.
And God is able to make all grace abound to you, so that having all sufficiency in all things at all times, you may abound in every good work.
2 Corinthians 9:7-8
(1) God is the one who provides all of the resources required to accomplish the service of the Gospel.
(2) God lets us participate in this provision through the giving of all kinds of resources (time, energy, talent, labor, money, etc.).
In the Christian Church, there should be no compulsion to give other than the love of Christ.
(3) A spirit of sacrificial generosity is something God produces in the hearts of His people.
This change of heart is more important than the funding of Church projects.
(4) Therefore, here at IBC, we only want cheerful gifts. No reluctant, under-compulsion donations, please.
